Fair Pay for NHS Staff Join the National Day of Protest
UNISON members at Whipps Cross Hospital, the union for nurses, therapists, and support staff, have called a protest for this Thursday, June 5th from 12 till 2 pm, outside the main entrance to the site, near Whipps Cross roundabout

Hospital workers are angry that the miserly 1% pay rise they offered this year will not even be implemented for many NHS staff. The below inflation pay rise means that workers get poorer every year. Many workers at Whipps have already seen their pay down banded because of government cuts and to fund the massive PFI debt for the new hospital at Whitechapel.
